Club Vee-Dub was founded in 1987 as a social club for enthusiasts of the Volkswagen brand. Members owned or had an interest in both air-cooled & water-cooled vehicles. It survived for 32 years as group of like-minded individuals who would plan car shows (Closetohome, Fahrfrömhome, and Das Volks), pub nights, ice cream meets, cruises to other shows and other events. There was an extensive online forum, and had many sister clubs in other cities and even provinces. At it’s peak, CVD had over 200 members.
